our desires

What are your deepest desires? God may be behind them. “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires”.  (Psalm 37:4, NLT)

Friendship
That’s what we want with each other and with God. (1 Samuel 20, Ecclesiastes 4, John 15)

Art and Creativity
Is it beautiful? Is it expressive? Is it pure? Is it from the heart? Let’s experience it. (Philippians 4)

Freedom
Are you hurting, abandoned, forgotten, or chained up? We’ll battle for you against the enemy of your soul for the freedom that only comes from our Warrior Jesus. (Psalm 41, Luke 4)

Cleansing
We all need a washing in the healing light of Jesus Christ. Come to The Fountain. (John 17)

Authenticity
Let us trust God and one another as we reveal our stories to each other. (John 14)

Beauty and Romance
Oh Lord, You pursue us with Your passionate Love, may we see Your beauty in one another. (Song of Solomon, 1 John)

Strength and Courage
Where are the heroes? Who will empty their strength for the unprotected and defenseless? Who will step out in courage for another? We will – let’s do it together. (Joshua 1)

Family
At all stages of family life (single, engaged, newlywed, young children, teenagers, young adult, divorced or empty nesters) you will have our support and be touched by the Father’s love. Welcome to our Family! (Psalm 127 & 128, Ephesians 5 & 6)

Diversity in Ethnicity
We embrace one another and our distinctives. We will look like our Lord’s heaven- full of color! (Exodus 10, 1Corinthians 12, John 17, Revelation 7)

Word Empowered
We live and die on the promise of love from our Lord Jesus that the Bible, the Word of God, reveals. (Deuteronomy 4, Joshua 1, Colossians 3, Hebrews 4)

Worship
We desire to worship in Spirit and in Truth. We make room for personal reflection and jubilant joy. (John 4, Revelation 5)

Prayer
That’s what He calls us, “His House of Prayer.” (Matthew 21)

Poor
Poverty is primarily a condition over the mind and soul.  Those of us in suburbia have much to contribute for the strengthening of those who struggle.  Yet the "bridge we build" to the inner-city of Philadelphia has a way of blessing us more in return.  Psalm 41 says, "Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble..."

Grace-filled
God has accepted us with grace. We accept you in the same way. We rejoice with each other in the promise of being changed by God’s grace into a reflection of Christ’s glory! (Romans 5, 1Corinthians 15)

Go
Go to our region, to this nation, and to other nations carrying His Light of Hope! (Genesis 12, Matthew 28)

Radical Balance
Radical? Yes. Adventurous? Definitely. Out of Control? Yes, when He’s in control. But always discerning of the Lord’s wisdom and understanding. (Proverbs 19:2, Ecclesiastes 3)

Israel
We pray for the peace of Jerusalem because this is what God wants. To finish His work on the earth, God will bring Jewish people and other nations back to Himself.  (Psalm 22, Romans 9-11, Revelation 22)
